Meet Monique Daniels
Founder of Artiste M Studios | Crochet Braid Specialist | Hamden, CT
Monique Daniels is the founder and creative force behind Artiste M Studios, a healthy-hair-focused crochet-braid and protective-style studio now serving clients in Hamden, CT, and surrounding areas.
Born and raised in New Haven, Connecticut, Monique's passion for creativity began early through music, writing, beauty, and self-expression. Over time, that creative spirit evolved into a mission rooted in education, empowerment, and intentional care within the beauty industry.
As a licensed cosmetologist, Monique recognized a growing need for protective styling services and healthy hair education that prioritized both beauty and hair integrity. Rather than simply offering hairstyles, she built Artiste M Studios around consistency, professionalism, and long-term hair care support.
Since opening Artiste M Studios in 2018, Monique has specialized in crochet braids, protective styles, natural hair care, and healthy hair maintenance, helping clients feel confident while supporting their individual hair goals before, during, and after their protective styles.
Beyond the chair, Monique is passionate about education, content creation, and creative entrepreneurship. Through workshops, tutorials, and digital beauty education, she aims to help clients and aspiring beauty professionals better understand healthy hair care, protective styling, and sustainable beauty practices.
Guided by her personal mantra, "Create. Innovate. Motivate." Monique continues evolving Artiste M Studios through what she calls
"The Bridge Era" is a season focused on bridging gaps among protective styling, healthy hair maintenance, consistency, restoration, and long-term hair goals.
Today, Artsite M Studios continues to grow as both a beauty and creative brand rooted in care, education, intention, and empowerment.
