If you told me that 2020 would bring brush fires, impeachment trials, wild locust, the death of Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gianna, along with a pandemic, I would say, Who has access to the Back to the Future DeLorean? Because I'm heading to the early 2000s!" We are 122 days into the year, and most of the United States is homebound; children are doing distance learning; businesses are temporarily closed or open with restrictions, and life as we know it has been altered. To think, when that ball dropped on January 1st, these series of events were a part of the timeline. The majority of us were ill-prepared, currently playing catch-up, with unfortunate casualties in the midst of it all. Face masks, gloves, and sanitizer are the new norm for everyone, and we rapidly adapted to it. Essential Workers on the front lines are working tirelessly to provide care, food, maintenance, shelter, and protection, putting their lives at risk every day. Changes this year, in this very moment in history, have forced many of us to reflect on our health, finances, livelihood, education, stance, purpose, and everything else under the sun. Where do we go from here? What changes should I make? What changes can I make? Just a few of the questions we ponder each day when we thankfully rise because we know in the midst of this drastic change more changes are desperately needed.
